The Design Awards Program
The AIA Maryland Design Awards competition occurs each year in August, with recognition of winning projects at the Design Awards Banquet in September. AIA Maryland celebrates the design accomplishments of architects in Maryland with this annual event. The competition is open to individual members and firms whose principals are members of the AIA Maryland and honors designs in a variety of categories. The Design Awards program aims to encourage and recognize distinguished architectural achievement and focus public attention on the Architect's role in shaping the quality of life through design excellence.

Design Awards 2008

The Design Awards program aims to encourage and recognize distinguished architectural achievement  providing both peer and public recognition of Architects, whose work elevates the standards by which we judge the built environment, and their role in shaping the quality of life through design excellence. A panel of distinguished architects from AIA Pennsylvania will review project entries to determine the best in architecture in Maryland, or outstanding achievement in design by AIA Maryland member architects. Entrants should prepare their submission as a comprehensive chronicle of their design intentions and processes.
