Michael Daly is an architect and interior designer located in Olney, MD. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati.
His experience covers a wide range of base building architectural and interior design projects. He has been involved in projects ranging from 300 square foot residential additions to 2.2 million square foot master plans. He has experience in all phases of design and development for residential and commercial projects in both architecture and interior design.
He currently works at an architectural consultancy that specializes in helping clients with issues regarding the building envelope. They provide forensic architectural investigations along with quality control programs to eliminate issues during or post construction.
Michael’s path toward licensure has led to his desire to help interns navigate the internship and examination process. Michael has previously served at part of NCARB’s 2012 Intern Think Tank and co-authored a paper that presents potential alternative paths toward licensure. While living in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, Michael was the AIA Triangle Chapter IDP Coordinator and upon moving back to Maryland, most recently served as the AIA Potomac Valley Architect Licensing Advisor. Michael has given lectures on strategies for successful completion of the Intern Development Program along with the Architect Registration Exam.
In addition to his professional work, Michael has a love of the outdoors shared with his wife and daughter. When the weather permits, they can often be found camping and hiking.
