In cooperation with the Reed Construction Data, AIA National provides a free searchable database of architectural firms who are AIA members at www.aiaccess.com. Simply click on the type of project (residential, commercial, or institutional), choose Find an Architect, and you will be walked though a series of questions that will allow you to find an architect in your area who meets your precise project needs.

An informed consumer is most likely to get the results he expects. Once you have a list of possible architects, contact them personally and ask lots of questions. Consider using any of the following resources as part of your architect  selection process:
