Jury Comments - This project takes relatively a small and simple program and does a phenomenal job of handling all of the constituent parts in a very accomplished and complete manner. Well done. It’s a beautiful building, well-detailed and just the sort of building that architects love to love. The building and organization is very simple and straightforward. The detailing of joinery of different materials is very sleek and refined. It also seems to evoke to a point of a rustic cabin in the land in a way brought to it certain elemental elements, a very strong roof form suspended from a hearth and a service shed-like structure, to almost creating a kind of ghosted historic cabin. Overall, a simple project.
