A little extra training never hurt …

It seems Spring is not only bringing a great deal of pollen, it has brought severe weather. We had an EF-2 tornado in Delaware on April 15th and an EF-1 in Maryland just last Friday.

While we are busy setting up another Safety Assessment Program training for June 1 – the first day of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season – there are plenty of opportunities for you to get a few LUs and increase your disaster readiness.

The AIA offers a Resilience and Adaptation Online Certificate Program. The series offers up to 16.25 HSW LUs. Don’t wait, purchase the entire series now and receive 25% off. REGISTER HERE

Before deploying in post disaster situations, we are finding jurisdictions are also requiring incident training. FEMA offers these two free, online courses which are recommended for responders: FEMA IS-100IS-200. These courses are available for free online at https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx?all=true.  Don’t forget to self-report your LUs.

If you have a coworker interested in taking the Safety Assessment Program training you’ve already taken, please share the following link for our June 1 training with them.

Keep an eye on the sky and be prepared.
