Annual Architectural Design Academy Student Showcase

Can you spare about two hours of time to join us for the HCPSS Architectural Design Academy Showcase on February 25th?

The architectural program at the ARL is a high school career academy that targets students interested in the architectural field during their 11th and 12th grade years. These students are very dedicated and most are pursuing architecture or a related career as their college major. CLICK HERE for a small sampling of student work as well as more information about the course.

This senior class has worked very hard to master curriculum content, architectural concepts, design processes, and professional skills. Our students would like to demonstrate this acquired knowledge through a presentation format that will highlight their design process and completed concepts. Your review will become part of their grade and help to prepare them for an upcoming internship this spring. If your practice in in Howard County, or nearby, we are still looking for a few more internships for these talented students. Please contact Terry Walker for more information.

Our goal this year is to have at least 40 local architects, designers, engineers, planners and other professionals observe the students’ work. Contact Sandi Worthman before Feb 22 if you would like to participate.
