Maryland makes $413M in budget cuts.

The Board of Public Works met and began to address the anticipated state revenue shortfall with $413M in budget cuts to state programs. HERE is an excerpt from the meeting agenda that notes where/how those cuts will be made. This makes a dramatic cut to State Historic Tax Credits, and makes a mix of reductions across most, if not all state agencies. Economically we are in uncharted waters. The long-term effects on our overall economy from COVID-19 remain unknown, and the corrective actions to be taken will be determined by many factors. We will continue to advocate for our profession, monitor the budgetary process and keep you informed.
